“I finally broke down and bought myself a plasma TV.”
“Michael and Jan each seem to be playing their own game at who can make the guests feel more uncomfortable…and they are both winning.”
“Nice bench.” “Yeah, that’s my bed! Jan has some space issues so I just curl up on that little guy.” “Really? It looks kind of narrow…and short.”
“Really? You want to have a baby?”
“You’re the only trophy I need…and my dundies.”
**I have to add…this episode was one of the most uncomfortable (of course still funny) episodes that Brian and I have ever seen. We spent the whole show going, “Oh my gosh…” in horror for the people in the episode.
Well, Babe, I am very happy to have The Office back. Erica accidentally erased the dvr before I could watch again, so I will have to just try to remember some of my favorite lines. After I write this, I am going to go shopping and see if I can find one of those bonfire scented candles.
Jan: You know, Pam, in Spain, it’s not uncommon for dinner to start after midnight. Michael: When in Rome!
Andy: But not for this flower, for my flower. (Hands Angela a long-stem rose) Angela: Now what am I supposed to do with that?
“You can buy new things, but you can’t buy a new party!”
“Not now Dwight” – the officer said to Dwight.
“Not ever, not now, not ever, not then.” Pam about the “fact” that she had dated Michael.
“Good luck replacing my $200 plasma TV with your $0 dollar a year salary!”
and the whole playing of the name game was great.
What’s Erica doing deleting things from the DVR?! The whole playing of the game, especially Jim guessing for Michael, was maybe my favorite part of the whole episode.
I love to watch more than once, to see the things I missed the first time. for example, what about Andy’s styling wardrobe, with the turtleneck, button down shirt and sweater tied around the shoulders? Or the way jan decorated the condo with the Andy warhol type pictures of herself on the stairs? Or the stuff in the garage, like the hand chairs and a rowing machine? I liked it too, Tiffany.
“I am a catch and I am not gonna be the one who got away!” I know you haven’t posted yet about this episode because it’s not over, but I loved that line!
Good call, Nada! I loved this episode. It was a good combination of insanity and sweetness. I loved the Jim and Pam stuff. Sorry, even though I am 50, I am still a girl.
“I definitely remember your dinner party.”
“What part of shorn’t don’t you understand?”
“Wendy – hot and juicy redhead.”
“No question about it – I am ready to get hurt again.”
“Ten for looks, three for her ability to describe herself.”
“I am a man of intensity, of cool, and youth, and passionately.”
“Then I’ll have two chairs – only one to go.”
“As dead as every dead animal who has ever died.”
“blunt force trauma and blood loss.”
“How am I going to pay my kid’s orphanage bills?”
And my favorite visual of the night – Andy’s great parking lot dance. The green tie made it perfect.
Okay…I TOTALLY loved the Jim and Pam stuff…I hope that nothing weird happens to break them up…because it would make me very sad. I said it. Also, I loved this episode…hilarious.
“I bet, that you have a bunch of very liberal girl-type friends, who trust you implicitly, because they know you’d never touch them given your condition.”
“I think I’m being very clear, what I’m asking. Would an average size rowboat support her without capsizing? [long pause] It bothers me that you’re not answering the question.”
“No. Alright? No she can’t fit on a rowboat.”
“And I’m optimistic, because everyday I get a little more desperate. And desperate situations yield the quickest results.”
“W.B. Jones’s construction guys park in our parking spaces every morning, and some people have to park really far away and walk all the way to the office, and some people sweat too much for comfort and–”
“Dwight is going to hand out index cards, and I want you all to write down the name of an eligible woman for me to date. By the end of the day. No. By the end of the hour. Or you are fired.”
And then I loved the whole American Pie singing…it was great.
I actually didn’t think this episode was very funny, though there were some choice lines. My favorites (already mentioned) were the shornt and orphanage ones. I’ll have to watch again.
I totally didn’t care at all about the romance stuff, though, be the manly man that I am. Not even a little bit. :whistles:
so i thought i would wait until somebody else started the quotes for this past week, but nobody took the responsibility so i thought i would start.
“I’m moving to Costa Rica, I have been thinking about it for a while, and I’m finally gonna do it. So I’m just gonna hop the fence and run home”
“Yeah, I have a lot of questions. Number one, how dare you?”
“Weevils! What a crazy word man! I don’t even know what that means. What does that mean?”
I have to admit…this wasn’t my favorite episode ever. It was just kinda “meh” to me. But there were some funny parts.
Michael talking on the phone to his mom: “I am. I am getting out there. Well, no, I’ve asked a lot of girls to dance, Mom, they’re just- it’s not- listen to me for a second. Yes I shaved the back of my neck. Oh my gosh, Mom I’ve gotta go one of my friends is getting beat up by some girls!”
And then the whole Toby thing…it was so awkward. Oh..poor Toby.
“Kind of an Oak-y afterbirth”
I loved the visual of Michael demonstrating how he can push in his tv if there’s a crowd!
This episode was pretty much awesome! Worth the wait!
by Tiffany April 10, 2008 at 9:03 pm–Andy swoops in to steal a k… taste of Angela’s ice cream.
Hilarity ensues. 🙂
by Brad April 10, 2008 at 9:08 pmI liked this episode, but Jan is CRAZY! also, ridiculous of Jim to try to leave Pam at the party.
by Erica April 11, 2008 at 6:24 amSnip! Snap! Snip! Snap! Snip! Snap!
by Brad April 11, 2008 at 8:13 amThat was a two hundred dollar plasma TV you just destroyed!!

by Tiffany Baugh April 11, 2008 at 8:53 amI’m going to have to correct one of those, just because it was so good…
“Honey, I have the best trophy right here… aside from the dundies.”
😀

I actually built that table myself. What is it – chestnut?
by Mom April 11, 2008 at 12:23 pmThanks for the correction Keck. I knew that I didn’t have it quite right…it is definitely better that way. 🙂
by Tiffany Baugh April 12, 2008 at 7:51 amI keep hearing that people didn’t LOVE this episode like we did! Too weird! We’ve watched it like four times! Here’s one I was just thinking of…
Jan: I can’t create and do business in the same place, I’m sure it’s the same with you and your doodles.

by Brad April 30, 2008 at 8:45 amThis was my favorite one since the dinner party! Lots of quotable stuff! My favorites are:
I can’t even hear you. It’s just noise coming out of an ugly scientist
We need to energize this office, I mean, I haven’t done anything since Christmas, Pam has clearly just given up trying…
Alright who we talking about here? Crypts? Bloods?
by Tiffany May 2, 2008 at 8:31 amBoth
Go(sh)
Yeah them, and the Latin Kings, the Warriors, Newsies…
We use a thing called fluffy fingers.
What’s with Toby, though? I like the show better when he’s likeable and not being mean.
by Brad May 2, 2008 at 8:34 am“Kiss her…kiss her good.”
“I would never say this to her face, but she is a wonderful person and a gifted artist.” “What? Why wouldn’t you say that to her face?”
Andy falling in the sand trap cracked me up.
by Tiffany Baugh May 11, 2008 at 8:12 pmYes, Andy falling in the sand trap was HILARIOUS.
