Arches

Our family took a trip to Arches National Park this weekend with our friends the Sternum Punchers.  (Some might call them Josh and Jaime Alley.  Some would be wrong.)  It was kind of a last minute thing and I was a little loathe to go, but we really had a great time. 

It marked a lot of firsts for Kyle.  It was his first trip of this length.  (That is, the longest trip he’s been on so far.)  His first night in a hotel room.  His first hiking experience.  (If you can call being carried by mom or dad hiking.)  His first time drinking water.  His first time at Arches, or any national park for that matter.  There are probably others.  Tiffany will have to fill in the gaps.

Kyle also turned 5 months on Friday!  We’ve celebrated by supplementing his five months page on picasa.

The Office

Well holy crap.  That was pretty crazy.  Did anybody else guess that they were interviewing to take Jan’s job?  I did.  I sure didn’t guess who they would actually hire, though.

Happy Birthday Pops!

On this, Brad’s birthday, I’ve been reflecting on how he’s learned and grown over the past year:

He learned how to spend exhorbitant amounts of money on a single real estate transaction,

How to live with drastically cut back video game playing time,

How to beat everybody at work in racquetball, and be beaten in his turn,

That Kyle needs to be changed immediately when a bowel movement is suspected,

The manly art of starting a fire in the grill, then leaving the actual grilling to his wife,

He learned how to play dozens of german style board games, became a contributing member of boardgamegeek.com, and learned how to buy board games in the name of various national holidays,

He learned the intricacies of pregnant woman relations,

He achieved age 21 on the Wii fitness test,

He became the last man standing when all his golf buddies went MIA due to various back problems,

He came to terms with being half way to fifty.

I have the best life imaginable and really credit you for that, Brad.  Happy Birthday my love!

Our House

So, this post is really mostly for my parents.  We already had a video of our house, but they wanted one with our stuff in it, rather than some strangers’ stuff.  If you live around here you, of course, can or have already seen the house in person and this will be nothing new.  So, there you have it.  Enjoy (as best you can).
